MEET JASON

Jason Woolford was born and raised in Howell, Michigan. He graduated from Howell High School, then was honorably discharged after his service in the United States Marine Corps.

He is married to his wife of 31 years, Maria, who also served in the United States Marine Corps as well as in the reserves in the Army National Guard.

The Woolford’s have three wonderful children: Jenna, Jason II and Juliana who currently serves in the Marine Corps reserves. The couples enjoy their sons-in-laws and grandchildren Chloe, Weston, Cruz, Genesis, and Shiloh.

Following his enlistment, Woolford went on to become vice president of sales and marketing for two different southern California marble and granite distribution companies. He then returned to Michigan and received his master’s degree in divinity. He has lived in Howell for the last 23 years.

In 2010, Woolford was appointed president of Mission Cry / Christian Resources International, a non-profit founded in 1956 that has sent over $480 million in free Bibles and Christian teaching tools to over 178 nations globally.

He believes the unique life he has lived helped shape his family’s lives with discipline, attention to detail and a love for others, noting his entire family has been willing to serve in multiple capacities.

Woolford’s experience in global travel opportunities, holding leadership seminars, Marine Corps, corporate America, for-profit business and nonprofit organizations has provided him with the ability and experience to legislate, negotiate and fight on behalf of all Michiganders.

He understands the meaning of the Marine Corps motto Semper Fidelis “always faithful,” and will use this same successful strategy in the state legislature.
